The HNOMA Legacy Breakfast is the Houston NOMA Chapter's signature annual philanthropic fundraiser, created to honor the enduring legacy of minority architects whose vision, leadership, and contributions have shaped our profession, our communities, and our chapter.

Each year, we will celebrate a distinguished architect whose story inspires future generations. Our inaugural breakfast honors the extraordinary legacy of John S. Chase, FAIA, NOMA; Texas' first licensed African American architect, one of the co-founding members of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), and a visionary whose influence continues to inspire architecture, education, and the City of Houston.

More than a celebration, this event is an investment in the future. Proceeds directly support HNOMA scholarships, leadership development, and initiatives that empower the next generation of architects and designers while preserving the stories of those who paved the way.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to support HNOMA scholarships, licensure assistance, leadership development, mentorship, and programs that empower the next generation of architects and designers while preserving the legacy of those who paved the way.

Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and donation made helps create opportunities that will strengthen our profession for years to come.

We invite you to join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at the historic Eldorado Ballroom in Houston, Texas, as we celebrate the past, inspire the present, and invest in the future.
